He was predeceased by: his parents, William Henry O'Neal and Ethel Wilder O'Neal; his wives, Jewel Mosley O'Neal and Trena Williams Williamson O'Neal; and his siblings, Wade O'Neal Sr., J. B. O'Neal, Ernest O'Neal, Lois O'Neal Wilkes, Sara Frances "Punkin" O'Neal Padgett and Martha "Shag" O'Neal NeeSmith.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sherry O'Neal Fountain (Chess) of Vidalia and Brenda O'Neal Meadows (Jimmy) of Fernandina Beach, Florida; his stepdaughter Jena Williamson McBay (Mike) of Madison; his grandchildren, Blake Fountain of Vidalia and Haley Clements; his great grandchildren, Parks, Wilder, Asher, Brock, Brogen and Hudson; and his brother-in-law John E. "Bo" Mosley of Macon. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
