He was predeceased by: his father David Shiplett; and his grandparents, George Shiplett, Eloise Darby Shiplett, Lester Myles Blaxton and Dorothy Palmer Blaxton.
He is survived by: his mother DeAnne Blaxton Shiplett; his brothers, Brian Durden (Alicia) of Vidalia, Danny Durden (Amanda) of Glennville and Carroll Williams (Jan) of Vidalia; his great-nieces, Mattie Grace Palma and Emma Kate Palma; and his great-nephew Hunter Palma (Wanda Driggers McQuitty). He is also survived by four nieces and nephews.
