She was predeceased by: her significant other Roscoe James; her parents, William Elijah Haines and Mary Elizabeth Byrd Haines; and her siblings, William Haines, Sarah Haines Bishop and Ann Haines.
She is survived by: her children, Roscoe David James (Lorie) of Baxley and Virginia Beth James Smith (Michael) of Wilmington Island; her grandchildren, Jessica James, Drew James, Levi James and Connor Smith (Hannah) of Rincon; and her siblings, James "Jimmy" Haines (Daisy) of Treutlen County and Naomi Jean Haines Duckworth (Bruce) of Mt. Vernon. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
