Yvonne left this world on October 11, 2025 at the age of 85, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her husband Sherward Garrett; her son Stephen Garrett; her parents, B. C. Stephens and Juanita Sharpe Stephens; and her brother Wendell Stephens.
She is survived by: her daughter Lisa Garrett Thompson (Kenny); her grandson Justin Thompson; her brothers, Roger Stephens (Bobbie) of South Thompson and Jerry Stephens (Cathy) of South Thompson; and her sister-in-law Edith Stephens. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, quilting friends, and her church family.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the South Thompson Baptist Church (225 S Thompson Rd, Vidalia, GA 30475). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to South Thompson Baptist Church Quilting Group, 225 South Thompson Road, Vidalia, GA 30475.
