It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edward Franks Cannon Jr. of Vienna, Georgia, who passed away on April 14, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Edward Franks had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Edward Franks may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Frank Cannon, Sr. and Virginia Rose Jennings Cannon. He is survived by: his wife Linda Chappell Cannon; his daughters, Krista Cannon of Cordele and Elizabeth Holloway (Christopher) of Americus; his grandchildren, Davis Holloway and Caroline Cannon; his sister Jency Bynum (Don) of Thomasville; his sister-in-law Carole Chappell Austin (John) of Greenville, S. C.; and his pet Valiant.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Hughes & Wright Funeral Home, Inc. (1010 E 8th Ave, Cordele, GA 31015).
