He was predeceased by: his parents, C. L. Nelson and Betty Warren Nelson; and his brother Jerry Nelson. He is survived by: his significant other Dorothy Moree of Pinehurst; his brother Wayne Nelson (Linda) of Cordele; his sister-in-law Brenda Nelson of Conway, SC; and his close friend Lacygrace. He is also survived by 2 nieces; 2 nephews.
