It is with sadness that the passing of Deloris Bohannon Covel of Villa Rica, Georgia is shared. Deloris, born on June 25, 1947, passed away on September 29, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl William Bohannon and Delphia Bass Bohannon; her son Billy David Brown; and her brothers, Larry Bohannon and Jerry Bohannon.
She is survived by: her husband Dr. Robert C. Covel; her daughter Denise Lybrand (Rick); her grandchildren, Amanda Henderson (Luke), Taylor Green (Ryon), Tyler Brown (Kalyn) and Deaven Brown; and her great grandchildren, Nora Caye Henderson, Hank Henderson, Sawyer Green, Liam Green, Juliet Brown and Oliver Brown.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the St. Margaret's Episcopal Church (606 Newnan St, Carrollton, GA 30117). A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
Her dedication and contributions to the arts were recognized through the Arts Festival of Carrollton, which established the "Deloris Covel Best in Fine Art" award in her honor.
