He is survived by: his wife Teresa Thornton; his children, Nicholas Thornton, Robby Martin Cohran, Dennis Martin and Amanda Martin; and his siblings, Lee Thornton and Kathy Greer. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
