He was predeceased by: his parents, George Adam Johnson and Victoria Boss Johnson; his daughter Sherry Kohler; and his siblings, Virginia Misel, Rhoda Cross, Harlan Johnson and Shirley Dawson.
He is survived by: his wife Thelma Lucille Gregory Johnson; his children, Victoria Plahs of Raleigh, Loyd Johnson (Christine) of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Lynn King (Kevin) of Wilmington and Adam Johnson of Villa Rica, Georgia.; and his sister Diane Esposito of Warrenton. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
