She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Everette Brockmeier and Sophie Atcheson Brockmeier; her husband Farrand "Ed" Messinger; and her son Michael Burr. She is survived by: her children, Jennifer Cohen (Tim Thomas), Charles (Lisa Burr) and James (Rachel Heiselmeyer); and her stepdaughter Kathryn (Rich Dreasen). She is also survived by eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
