He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry, Sr. Spann and Julia Spann; and his siblings, Catherine Swinney, Louise Lovett, Rosetta James, Willie J. Spann and Hattie Elmore.
He is survived by: his wife Collia Owens Spann; his siblings, Annie Dorothy Smyth, Carolyn S. Gamble, Lessie Spann, Booker T. Spann (Mary) and Jasper Spann (Mary Alice); and his nieces, Debra Daniels (Arthur Lee) and Georgia.
As a result of the mandated COVID-19 regulations, for the safety of family and community and in an effort to practice social distancing, a private family graveside service of no more than 10 immediate family members will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2020.
