He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert Lester Jones, Sr. and Ruby Randall Jones; and his siblings, Herman Jones, Wiley Jones and Martha Dean Downg.

He is survived by : his wife Sandra Jones of Wadley; his daughters, Melisa (Jeff Partridge) and Kasey (Kevin Maxwell); his grandchildren, Bryant Partridge, Grayson Maxwell and Ella Kay Maxwell; and his siblings, Ray Jones and Hazel Pogue. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.
