“I knew carl as dad. He's survived by three children catherine, cynthia and phillip. I didn't know him for very long. He left us when i was 11. In that short time he taught me so much. I have a love for nature. He taught me about camping, fishing and hunting. We spent time hiking in ohio and kentucky learning. We spent time exploring caves and looking at stars. I watched the moon landing with him. He also loved trains and took us on many train rides. I have missed you dad...rest knowing i love yo”

“Grandpa Carl Lewis was a wonderful Gentle man. He was my Mom, Joan Miller's, best friend, a Grandpa to my daughter, Savanna, and a wonderful member of our family for over 12 years. He worked hard, he was a Veteran from WWII, he was a wonderful designer & architect building many homes and businesses. He did some gold & gem mining. He worked in the oil fields, and numerous other adventures were lived by him. He loved all animals, was an artist, and had the biggest heart in the world. The Eis.”
