He was predeceased by: his parents, Nelson Sr. Folse and Eva Bourg Folse; and his brother Nelson Folse. He is survived by: his wife Eva; his sisters, Judy and Carolyn "Teetsie" Folse; his children, Tracy (Arlene), Diane (Rob), David and Michael (Julie); his grandchildren, Adam (Haleigh), Lauren, Mary Clare, Madeline, Jedediah (Melinda) and Matthew (Jessica); and his great grandchildren, Olivia, Parker, Grayson and Christian.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be given in honor of Carrol "Dave" Folse to Boys Town of Nebraska, Georgia Sheriffs' Youth Homes or the Houston County Humane Society.
