She was predeceased by: her parents, Essie English and Eugene Mitchell. She is survived by: her daughter Gloria Releford; her siblings, Eugene Mitchell, William Mitchell, Dorothy Johnson and Patricia Hagan; her children, Betty Kennedy (Reggie), Carolyn Mitchell, Janet Mitchell, Sharon Runnels (Gary), Nannette Mitchell, Patricia Jackson (Willie) and Aaron Johnson; and her sisters, Mary Head, Letha Nelson, Mable Haynes and Rebecca Lynah. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren as well as extended family members and friends.

The family respectfully asks those who plan to attend the funeral service to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
