He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde James Mathe, Sr. and Elizabeth Mathe (Kickenapp); and his sisters, Pearl and Laura. He is survived by: his wife Marlene Mathe (Koontz); his children, Kevin Mathe (Shanna), Jennifer Webb (Tim), Daren Mathe (Kaity) and Zanna Bos; and his stepdaughters, Shanna Rhodes (Chris) and Ashley Blankenship (Emma Grace). He is also survived by his family, friends.
His intelligence and problem-solving skills made him a respected figure in his field, and his contributions to the Air Force community were immeasurable.
