It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Clyde James Mathe Jr. in Warner Robins, Georgia, born in Chandler, Arizona, who passed away on August 5, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde James Mathe, Sr. and Elizabeth Mathe (Kickenapp); and his sisters, Pearl and Laura. He is survived by: his wife Marlene Mathe (Koontz); his children, Kevin Mathe (Shanna), Jennifer Webb (Tim), Darren Mathe (Kaity) and Zanna Bos; and his stepdaughters, Shanna Rhodes (Chris) and Ashley Blankenship (Emma Grace). He is also survived by his family, friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel (2932 US Hwy 41, Fort Valley, GA 31030). A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
His intelligence and problem-solving skills made him a respected figure in his field, and his contributions to the Air Force community were immeasurable.
