He was predeceased by: his parents, Amos Jones and Eugenia Brown; his wife Gaile Dugger Jones; his siblings, David, Donna, Gaylord and Beverly; and his niece April Whitehurst.
He is survived by: his children, Celesta Giddens (Carey) and Beth Tyner (Eric); his grandchildren, Cole Sledge, Cade Giddens (Paulisa Smith), Randa Sledge and Cullen Giddens; and his brother Larry Jones (Judie). He is also survived by one great-grandchild on the way and extended family members as well as countless friends.
The family respectfully asks that in lieu of flowers that donations be made in Douglas Jones' honor to St. Jude Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN 38105.
