She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Holbrook (Navy) and Victoria Smith Holbrook; and her son Paul "Van" Blackgrove. She is survived by: her husband Joe Blackgrove; her children, Cara Plaisted (Scott) and Robert Blackgrove (Yeelan); her grandchildren, Anthony, Luke, Liam, Edgar and Lorelei; her sister Carol Ward; and her former husband Paul Vanhoose.
