He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Taft and Joan Besaw Taft; his son Steven Taft; and his siblings, Joanne Rawlins, Kim Brunelle and Michael Taft.
He is survived by: his wife Teresa Newsome Taft; his daughters, Jennifer Tripp (John) of Williamsburg, VA and Elizabeth Snyder (Andy) of Enigma, GA; his stepchildren, Matthew Clark, Suzanne Cortes (Kyle) and Hannah Ho; his grandchildren, Matthew, Emily Tripp, Alivia, Alex Snyder and Elowlyn Cortes; and his brother Kevin Taft of Latham, NY. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Friendship Baptist Church (1322 Feagin Mill Rd, Warner Robins, GA 31088). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
The family will accept flowers or memorials may be made out in Gregg's honor to a charity of your choice.
