“Howie was a talented, humble, and good man.. I was from North Tonawanda, 2 hours from Auburn, and frequently gave him a ride home from Boston College where we played Football together.. Howie was very easy to relate to and I truly respected his humility and ease which made him great to be around.. We all were young and striving but it seemed like he had life figured out. He was never flustered by anything.. I'm truly sad that I hadn't had the chance to see him in 50 years. Peace Howie.”
