He is survived by: his father Harold Wallace; his sons, James Austin Wallace, Jr., Dexter Lynn Wallace (Judy) of Covington and Dwight Anthony Wallace of Raleigh; and his grandchildren, James Austin Wallace III, Tiffany Whittington, Donnie Wallace, Ashley Wallace, Austin Wallace, Amber Stallings, Haley Rybarczyk and Brett Wallace. He is also survived by his twelve great-grandchildren.

Born on August 11, 1932, in Pitts, Georgia, James was the son of the late Harold and Marjorie Parkinson Wallace.
