It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry L. Payton of Warner Robins, Georgia, born in Trion, Georgia, who passed away on October 2, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Payton and Narcissis Payton of Anderson; his brother Billy Payton; and his son-in-law James Bush. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Walker Payton; his children, Lynn (Rick Molen), Debbie (Mike Weinrich), Jerry Jr. (Patty Payton), Denise Beckham of Warner Robins, James (Celeste Payton) and Nancy Bush of Warner Robins; and his siblings, Catherine Payton and Doug (Debra Payton). He is also survived by nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws.
