He is survived by: his wife Vanessa Faye Thomas; his children, Gloria Faye Howard, Joe Lee Thomas, Jr. (Sandra), Wanda Renee Wright (Craig), Richard Thomas, Kimberly Woods, Reginald Andre'Postell and Felicia Thomas Phelps; and his niece Deloris Hodges. He is also survived by 30 grandchildren; and 56 great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
