He was predeceased by: his parents, John Thompson and Pearl Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Tetyana Thompson of Warner Robins; his children, Wayne Thompson (Mauri) of Warner Robins, Oksana Lucas (Trent) of Greenville, SC and Kim Thompson of Perry; and his mother-in-law Olga Kryvylko. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
