We announce the death of Kathryn Eileen Stewart (Warner Robins, Georgia), who passed away on September 2, 2026, at the age of 81. Kathryn will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Kathryn will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Kathryn will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Kathryn’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Sumner and Veronica Sumner. She is survived by: her children, Suzanne Kerns, Jimmy Stewart and Richard Stewart; and her siblings, Shirley Hammond, Chuck Sumner, Steve Sumner, Mike Sumner and Tom Sumner. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the 1st Baptist Church (1135 Watson Blvd, Warner Robins, GA 31093).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the 2nd Baptist Church Senior Ministry, an organization close to Kathryn's heart.
