Laura Carter Obituary
Warner Robins - Mrs. Laura Lucy Carter, age 94, went home to the Lord Thursday, January 19, 2023 at her home in Warner Robins. A graveside funeral service will be held Sunday, January 22, 2023 at 3:00 PM in Gresston Baptist church Cemetery. The family will greet friends following the service Sunday at the cemetery.
Mrs. Lucy was born March 02, 1928, in Dodge County, the daughter of the late Mr. Hal Appleton and Jessie Nelson Ridley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Brenice Carter; son, Mark Carter and a grandson, Mathew Carter. She grew up and attended school in Dodge County and graduated from Chauncey High School. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Dodge County and former member of Gresston Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who will be missed by all who knew and loved her. In her free time you would find her sewing, gardening, cooking and trying new recipes which she could share with her family.
Left to cherish her memories are: sons, Thomas Charles Carter (Ruth) of Bonaire and Don Carter (Pam) of Columbus; daughter, Robyn Carter of Woodstock; grand-children, Libby Hudson, Tiffany Faulk, Andy Carter, Adam Hartley, Luke Carter, and John Mark Carter; and a host of great-grandchildren.
