She was predeceased by: her parents, Alexander Brantley Owens and Laura Smith Owens; her husband Col. James M. Cox Jr.; her children, David O. Cox and Diann Cox Kennedy; her great grandchild Alexander Martin (Alex); her sister-in-law Anne Cox Parrish; and her siblings, Fox Owens, Smith Owens, Joe Owens, Lois Guy, Ann Thompson and Margaret MacMaster.
She is survived by: her sister Clarice Emerson of Montgomery Alabama; her daughters, Donna Guillory (Larry), DeeDee Spann (Steve) and Doraine Willis (Mike); her son-in-law Robert Kennedy (Jean); her grandchildren, Lyda Hartley (Scott), Lawrence Guillory (Becky), David Guillory (Nancy), Doraine Kennedy, Dayna Vizzini (Richard), April Austin (Corey Hopper), Emily Willis, Erica and James Spann; her great grandchildren, Ryan Kennedy (Carly), Conner Vizzini, Alexandria Harbin, Thomas, Elizabeth Hartley, Daisy Guillory, Owen, Joseph Guillory, Brayden Hopper, Amelia Austin, Mason Spann, Ellie Kate and Dallas Bond; and her great great grandchildren, Camille and Clayton Kennedy.
