She was predeceased by: her former husband J. W. Stokes; her son James "Jimmy" Stokes; and her siblings, Virgil Peavy, Calvin Peavy, Mattie Lou Robinson, Woodrow Peavy, Emmett Peavy and Aurelia Foster.
She is survived by: her husband James "J. W."; her granddaughters, Michelle Moody of Columbus, GA and Kim Stokes of Ellerslie, GA; her great grandchildren, Wesley Brown and Sean Moody; and her great great grandchildren, Sydnie Brown and Elijah Moody. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews.
