He is survived by: his daughters, Connie Gilman and Sharon Poynter of Warner Robins; his granddaughter Lisa Gilman; his stepchildren, William Smallwood, Richard Smallwood and Lynn Cox; and his brother James Payne. He is also survived by three step grandchildren; and three step great grandchildren.
