He is survived by: his granddaughter Ariel Short; his son-in-law Rodney Short; his siblings, Donnie Bateman, Travis Bateman (Betty), Wendell Bateman (Zelma), Doris Scott (JC) and Melba Roland (Buddy); his brother-in-law Jerry Sorrow; his daughter Pamela Short; his grandson Brandon Short; his siblings, Elene Johnson (Jimmy), Linda Walston, Carol Sorrow, Carolyn Kory (Richard) and Brenda Creamer (Jerry); his goddaughter Tara Land Guidry; his nieces, Sharon and Debbie; and also Connie. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
