He is survived by: his wife Judy Thompson; his children, Richard Thompson (Connie), Lisa Nutt (Jeff), Steven VanVoorhis, Cory VanVoorhis (Becky) and Shayna VanVoorhis; and his sisters, Phyllis Brown (George) and Mary Smith. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild.
