He was predeceased by: his parents, Coy Sims and Ada Terrell. He is survived by: his daughter Zipporah Marie Sims-Brignoni; his wife Brenda Rivera-Brignoni; and his sister Alice Robinson-Sims.
A memorial gathering was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the McCullough Funeral Home. A memorial service was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Andersonville National Cemetery.
