She was predeceased by: her father Fred Barnes; her husband Dr. Carl Lumpkin Beard, Jr.; and her brothers, Dr. Thomas G. Barnes and Duell Barnes. She is survived by: her children, J. Duell Beard, Lisa Beard Sabbath (Michael) and Leslie Beard Davis (Mike); her grandchildren, Natalie Bracken, Chason Carl Carter, Taylor William Carter, Seth Sabbath, Rachel Gerrity and Garrett Michael Davis; her great grandchildren, Bennett Bracken, Lila Bracken, Gabrielle Lynn Carter, Sephrie Carter and Wilder Carter; and her friend Bessie Smith.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be given in memory of Susanna Beard to Heart of Georgia Hospice at 103 Westridge Drive, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
