He is survived by: his daughter Bernice Winn; his grandson John Austin Winn (Rebecca); his great grandchildren, Addalyn and Abigail; his siblings, Shirley Keene (Arthur), Sharon Matney, Robert Vance, James Vance (Angela) and Gerald Vance (Tammy); and his significant other Jennifer Haney.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Jim to the Masonic Children's Home in Macon, Georgia.
