She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Sears and Louise Capellino Sears; and her son Sammy Newsome. She is survived by: her son John Newsome (Judy) of Warner Robins; her grandchildren, Kyle Newsome (Sylvia), Ashleigh Barfield (Nathan), Jason Hampton and Kacie Davis (James); and her sister Janis Conklin (Eddie). She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Vera May Newsome to Trinity United Methodist Church Building Fund, 129 S. Houston Lake Road, Warner Robins, Georgia 31088.
