She is survived by: her husband Dennis "Dale" Newberry; her children, Denny Newberry (Kelley) of Marietta, Georgia, John David Smith, Jr. (Sonya) of Warner Robins and James Newberry (Mia Yun) of Hollywood, California; her grandchildren, Addi Newberry, Austin Newberry, Sophie Smith and John David Smith, III; her brother James W. "Jimmy" Saxon (Jo-Ann); her nieces, Sarah Marie Rentz (James) and Katie Elizabeth Alexander (Michael); and her nephew James W. Saxon, III (Jamie). She is also survived by extended family members and friends.
