She was predeceased by: her parents, Earnest Mills and Juanita Mills; her husband Harold Gene Matheney; and her son Bruce Matheney. She is survived by: her children, Sonia Johnson (Frank) of Columbus, MS, Darlene Knight (Cole) of Marietta, GA, Steven C. Matheney (Tara Harris) of Macon, GA and Alexander Al; and her sisters, Teresa Leonard of Cookeville, TN and Mary Reva Buckner of Alabaster, AL. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Magnolia Park Cemetery (205 S Pleasant Hill Rd, Warner Robins, GA 31088).
