He is survived by: his wife Betty Ann Sheppard; his brother Elton Sheppard; his children, William Woodrow Sheppard, Jr. (Woody), Kevin Michael Sheppard and Tracie Lynn Sheppard-Yerby; his grandchildren, Steven, Christian, Chynna, Austin, Paulette, MaKayla, Allison, Zackery, Ransom, Tyler and Noah; and his great grandchildren, Mercedes, John (L. J.) and Allison.
