She was predeceased by : her husband Vern Hartley; and her parents, Frank Floyd and Stella Floyd. She is survived by : her sons, Jon Buckles (Christy) of Murphy, NC, Joe Buckles of Athens, GA and Jim Buckles of Warwick, GA; and her grandchildren, Katie Reeves (Austin), Felecia Buckles, Dillon Buckles and Sydney Buckles.

A graveside service was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery (Mt Vernon Rd, Atlanta, GA 30328).
