He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Otis Ray and Susie Anna Ray; and his brother James Robert Ray. He is survived by: his wife Karen Armour Ray; his son Christopher Brian Ray of Macon, Georgia; his grandson Chaz Ray; his great grandchild Georgia Ray of Eatonton, Georgia; his siblings, Linda Davis of Dearing, Georgia and Timothy Ray (Laura) of White Plains, Georgia; and his brother-in-law Travis Armour. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hopkins Funeral Home (416 E Robert Toombs Ave, Washington, GA 30673). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at the Resthaven Cemetery (498 Gordon St #460, Washington, GA 30673).
