He was predeceased by: his parents, John Michael and Eva Strother Long. He is survived by: his daughter Norma Long Newell (Steve) of Jekyll Island, GA; his siblings, Bobby Long (Vivian) of Athens, GA and Mary Long Rhodes (Charles) of Washington, GA.; his grandchildren, Rachel Rutherford, Taylor Gann (Cristal), Brittney Newell and Drew Newell; and his great grandchildren, Jack Rutherford, Owen Rutherford, Alan Gann and Hiraya Gann.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Smyrna Community Church (100 S Smyrna Church Rd, Washington, GA 30673). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at the Smyrna Community Church Cemetery (100 S Smyrna Church Rd, Washington, GA 30673).
