With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth Emerson Harris of Washington, Georgia, born in Thomson, Georgia, who passed away on September 25, 2022 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Waldo Putnam Harris, II and Mary Fluker Harris; and her siblings, Jane Harris Wright, Rev. Waldo P. Harris, III, W. Henry Harris, Rev. J. Robert Harris and Thomas M. Harris.

She is survived by : her brothers, Dr. Joseph B. Harris (Dorothy) and Rev. John S. Harris (Colleen). She is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces and other close relatives.
