He is survived by: his wife Mary Elizabeth Allison Burdette; his siblings, Walter Edward Burdette III (Teresa) of Washington, Kaye Bufford (Bill) of Lincolnton, Charles Allison (Sarah Ziegler) and Kevin (Anne Dancoff); his nieces and nephews, W. E. Burdette IV, Russell Burdette, Mary Iris Allison, Carole Bufford and Joan Bufford; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Walt Burdette, Ruby Kate Burdette, Jack Burdette and Rosie Jane Burdette.
