We are sad to announce that on December 18, 2023, William Thornton of Washington, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including : his wife Patricia Thornton; his children, Lori O'Connor (Marc) of Thomson, Renee Denard (Brian) of Lincolnton and Bill Thornton (Linda) of Washington; his sisters, Georgia Norton of Augusta and Dianne Jackson of Augusta; and his mother Eunice Marvelle Thornton. He was also cherished by 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Billy Thornton to the Washington Fire Department at 212 Court Street, Washington, Georgia 30673.
