He is survived by: his wife Barbara Ward; his son Bobby Shane Ward; his daughter-in-law Lisa Ward; his daughter Cheryl Brown; his grandchildren, Tammie Davis, Marsha Buttimer and Kris Matthew Ward; and his great grandchildren, Elijah Davis, Ethan DeLay, Blake DeLay and Brianna DeLay.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Lord & Stephens Funeral Homes (1211 Jimmy Daniel Rd, Watkinsville, GA 30677). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at the Evergreen Memorial Park (3655 Atlanta Hwy, Athens, GA 30606).
