He was predeceased by : his parents, Laura Thomason and Joe Thomason; his son-in-law Johnny Dillard; and his siblings, Laura "Boots" Berryman, Candice Thomason, W. O. Thomason and Walter Thomason.

He is survived by : his wife Jacqueline Thomason; his daughter Gina Dillard of Winterville; his grandsons, Justin Dillard (Jenny) of Royston, GA and Brett Dillard of Toccoa, GA; his great grandchildren, Autumn and Scarlett Dillard; and his siblings, Geraldine Allen, Eva Craft, Jack (Louise Thomason), Buddy (Irene Thomason), Aubrey (Anna Thomason) and Rev. W. D. (Jackie Thomason).
