He was predeceased by : his parents, Sidney Lanier Roland, Sr. and Susie Mae Moody Roland; his daughter Donna Roland Logan; and his brothers, Sidney Lanier Roland, Jr. and Rev. Edgar Eugene "Eddie" Roland.

He is survived by : his children, Christie Vaughan of Marietta, Susan McCommons (Tim) of Bishop and Jason Lee Roland Vaughan; his son-in-law Mark Logan of Rome; his grandchildren, Jesse Draper Vaughan, Sarah Vaughan Shay (Jonathan), Katie Logan Morey (Joe), Joseph Roland Logan, Hailey Claire McCommons and Holly Anne McCommons; his great grandchildren, Wyatt Morey, Watson Morey, William Logan and Jackson Shay; his siblings, Billy Roland (Amy), Sandra Mauldin and Sherryle Hinton; and his sisters-in-law, Suzanne Roland and Lynette Roland. He is also survived by loving nieces and nephews, and so many friends.
