He was predeceased by : his wife Margaret Earline Mercer; and his parents, William Neal "Bud" Mercer and Mary Gary Mercer. He is survived by : his children, Carol Bishop (Dale) of Bishop, Dr. Dwayne Mercer (Pam) of Orlando, FL and Barry Mercer (Alexandria) of Flowery Branch. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
