She was predeceased by: her spouse Jesse Eugene Johnston; her parents, Ray Surratt and Nellie Hamm Surratt; and her sisters, Joy Abrams, Jennie Rae Clayton and Karen Sheehan.
She is survived by: her daughter Marian Elizabeth "Beth" Johnston of Spartanburg; her brother Clark Surratt (Jan) of Columbia; her grandson Matthew Ruff (Allison); her great grandchild Sydney Ruff; David Eugene Johnston (Carol) of Athens, GA.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Fellowship Hall of Bush River Baptist Church (8936 Bush River Rd, Newberry, SC 29108). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Bush River Baptist Church Cemetery (8936 Bush River Rd, Newberry, SC 29108).
