Vivian Posey Obituary

We announce the death of Vivian Posey of Watkinsville, Georgia, who passed away on June 30, 2026, at the age of 99. Vivian will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Murl McMeans and Annie McMeans; her husband James Wyatt Posey; and her siblings, Merelene, Joanne, Bettye and Barbara.

She is survived by: her children, Debra Maxey (Mike), David Posey (Catherine), Dennis Posey (Tamera) and Dinah Laura Posey; her grandchildren, Joe Maxey (Katherine), James Maxey, Dylan Posey (Janine), Ellen Tilkens (Mike), Shelby Posey and Margot Posey; and her great grandchildren, Sarah, Robert Wyatt Maxey, Leo, Perrie, Cameron Tilkens, Landon Posey, Ava, Bella and Oliver Perkins.
